Match Results against Corsham on 9th August 2009

The weather was glorious and steamingly hot. Our Captain lost the toss (again) and Corsham put themselves into bat, on what looked like a flat the even pitch.

The opening bowling of Tom and Curtis, was excellent limiting Corsham to just 43 runs for the loss of 2 wickets off 8 overs. However, in came one of Corsham's top batsman who scored 107 runs before being stumped by Mark Webb off the bowling of Richard!

Corsham scored a total of 253 runs for 8 wickets off 40 overs.

After tea, Grittleton struggled to score at the required rate, even thought the opening partnership of Gavin Smith(facing) and Anthony Josey (non facing) lasted much longer than the previous week!

Grittleton struggling to stay anywhere near the required run rate, scoring just 125 all out off 32 overs.
